"Fractured Imminence"
Artwork by Mark Allen (aka Bryce Allen)
- Exhibition on now thru November 2nd -

Bryce Allen’s Artist Statement:
As an artist it is very important for me to connect the world with a image that is familiar, but will keep you thinking of endless possibilities. To stay, contemplate, and wonder about the world that we share. I have studied long and far getting most of my rounding at Pratt at Munson-Williams. Where I learned a great amount and became an ambassador to the art world. We have necessities that I try to focus in on. The everyday life that surrounds us. For example a lot of my work contains flowers, fruit, and vegetation. These simple things that we really don't think about besides their appeal have much more to offer. The thought process for most is in the smell, taste, or color. However the nutrients, and or extract that we obtain from these plants are a lot more important. The growth from photosynthesis even gives so much more. Such a simple ripple of oxygen vegetation harnesses, taking carbon dioxide and producing the oxygen that we breathe. A great percentage of oxygen is  omitted in the air by green growth. Letting us exist as a society. I have been undergoing the idea of chaos vs. order in similar realms. Where decay is not an over looked factor, but just as important as growth. I try to bring that in perspective with my line work. The line is the most simple mark one can make on a paper. The decomposition of natural organism, and returning matter in the land is so natural its simple in our minds. But is very complex. A mark on a paper can instill humbleness just as watching a day lily grow. Most over look that and take nothing that doesn't fit in the schedule. I hope it notions to take a step back from our chaotic lives and just appreciate how far we have come. Thanks to the small stuff.

"Expressions in Realism"

Paintings and Sculptures by Dean Vigyikan
Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 6-10pm.

"Artist Portrait Photo"
Dean Vigyikan was born in Cleveland, OH and grew up in Western New York, studying art through private instruction and receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors from Rochester Institute of Technology.  Since then he has built a career in the visual arts ranging from traditional painting to digital illustration and design.
More recently, Dean has discovered his innate penchant for sculpture and has added this art form to his long-standing tradition as a painter.  His artwork has been collected by patrons across the United States and can be found on the covers of Books, music CD’s, T-shirts, magazines, advertisements and more.
Encouraged from an early age by his parents and family, Dean began nurturing and developing his talents during childhood.  Inspired by many of the giants of art history, he has been especially influenced by the painting techniques of William Adolphe Bouguereau, John Singer Sargent, and John William Waterhouse.  His sculptural influences include Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Antonio Canova, and Auguste Rodin.  Stylistically, Dean is a contemporary realist, drawing heavily upon natural subject matter and expressing his vision with vigor and spontaneity.
Among the qualities of Dean’s paintings, noticed by those who have seen his work in person, is the dynamic and tactile brushwork with which he renders his compositions, as well as the richness and harmony of the colors he employs.  Many express particular delight in his sculptures for their level of detail and sense of grandeur.  One of the most frequent observations made regarding the artist’s repertoire concerns his expansive range of subject matter, all of which he handles with confidence and facility.
An award winning artist, Dean’s works have appeared in juried competitions on the local, state and national levels, as well as a number of solo exhibitions.  He has also proven a popular lecturer and demonstrator of art technique to other artists, and has served as judge for fine art competitions.  As an artist, Dean favors allowing his work to do the talking, without excessive peripheral explanation.  The power of representational art, he feels, is that it encourages the artist to meld his personal sensibilities with the mastery of the Divine Creator, resulting in a uniquely beautiful collaborative expression
